Twelve cases of swine flu reported in the US

The CDC announced that it had found twelve cases of swine flu diagnosed at humans. The cases were reported in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maine, Iowa, and Indiana. Eleven of these cases were children and the last one was an adult male who got the disease at work. The CDC added that half of the cases were not exposed to swine. Baby formula called by Wallmart

The death of a 10 month old baby caused by what appears to have been a bacterial infection prompted Walmart to pull cans of baby formula from 3,000 of its stores all over the country. The formula that was pulled is called Enfamil Premium Newborn lot number ZP1K7G. It was revealed that the baby had consumed the formula before getting sick. Dangerous breast implats in France

Shocking news came from French authorities who announced that a certain type of silicone implants can suffer ruptures and might even cause breast cancer. The authorities are wondering whether to ask about 30,000 French women to change or remove their implants. Berlin Heart approved in the US

The much expected "Berlin Heart," a ventricular assist device for infants and children who suffer from heart failure, has finally been approved in the United States. New weapon against influenza?

Statins, the drugs that are used to lower cholesterol levels may actually be useful in fighting against serious cases of flu.
