Freddie Mac hopes for sales increase

Economists working for Freddie Mac have an optimistic view on the July reports, predicting positive sales growth, despite the fact that June brought an abysmal and disappointing report. Dow Jones Industrial Average climbs

The Dow Jones Industrial Average managed to go up on Thursday, due to IBM’s rise by 4.9 percent and Coca-Cola’s growth of 3.8 percent. How does Goldman Sachs Group Inc fare?

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS) is one of the US banks that makes most of its money by trading. $10.2 billion bid for Clorox

Although the company has not made any requests for bids, Clorox received a $10.2 billion offer from Carl Icahn. The activist investor wishes to stoke other bids in an attempt to control them. Clorox answered it shall review the offer "in due course." Icahn wishes to pay $76.50 a share for the company that has its base in Oakland. Bernanke is not ready to interfere

The Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke came forth on Thursday and stated the central bank was not yet ready to interfere and try to boost the economy. American stocks dropped on Friday

The newest two jobs reports appear to show an improvement in the labor market. It appears to be growing stronger, overcoming the recent weakness it presented, however rebounds remain very subdued. 1,000 barrels leaked in the Yellowstone River by ExxonMobil

Bad news were received from the Yellowstone River when one of the oil pipelines from ExxonMobil broke 10 miles west from Billings, Mont. As a result 1,000 barrels of crude oil were leaked in the river. On Sunday morning the company notified the existence of a leak which appeared due to the loss of pressure in the pipeline.
