Ross Brawn: Mercedes principal to leave at end of year

Ross Brawn is to leave Mercedes at the end of the year. The 59-year-old team principal is standing down following changes to the management structure at Mercedes F1. "The most important consideration in my decision to step down was to ensure the timing was right for the team in order to ensure its future success," he said. Executive directors Toto Wolff and Paddy Lowe will lead the team, whose drivers are 2008 world champion Lewis Hamilton... [read news]

The name alone sets the tone: Gomo. It's an adorable, cartoon-style point-and-click adventure with creepy overtones and a sweet story about a creature and his dog, Dingo, who's been captured by aliens. Gomo comes out on December 6 for PC for £7, published by Daedalic Entertainment and developed by Fishcow Studio. It should be on Steam Greenlight in the near future. And yes, even the aliens are cute in Gomo.... [read news]

Jeff Willms continues his reign as the barrel-hopping, hammer-wielding champion of Nintendo's 1981 arcade game Donkey Kong after coming in first place at the recently concluded Kong Off 3 competition in Denver, Colorado. Dead Rising 3 review: Combo party

There aren't too many problems that can't be solved with a blow torch and a few well-scrounged supplies. This is what I've learned from Dead Rising 3, which evolves the patchwork weapon-crafting mechanic introduced in Dead Rising 2 in some very natural and helpful ways. Now you can build custom weaponry and vehicles, often to great comical effect, anywhere you want in the game world of Los Perdidos. Dead Rising 3 doesn't greatly deviate from... [read news]

Captain Steven Gerrard says England are ready to show Germany the scale of their improvement under manager Roy Hodgson when they meet at Wembley on Tuesday. "If we were to meet Germany tomorrow in a World Cup situation I don't think we'd leave the... [read news]

'Free Birds,' movie review

Most minor animated movies are so rote that it’s worth acknowledging a strange bird like this cheerfully gonzo kid flick. It’s no masterpiece, but if you’re hoping for a family film that will keep everyone reasonably entertained, this will fly. Owen Wilson deserves much of the credit, thanks to his nimble delivery as Reggie, the only intelligent turkey on his farm. While the rest of his flock is as dumb as stuffing, a panicked Reggie... Sinead O'Connor: Music biz full of 'vampires, pimps'

Has Sinéad O'Connor ever given an interview when she didn't say something blunt, controversial or wacky? The Irish singer is true to form in an interview in Time magazine's latest issue, out Monday. In it, she answers 10 questions from Time, talks about her contempt for the music business and her frustration over how mentally ill people are dismissed, and revisits her recent online exchange with Miley Cyrus over the young singer's outré...
