Born in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, this anthology shares stories about what it takes to beat the odds. More than 100 writers contributed these essays, fiction and poetry to raise money for disaster relief efforts in the region. Featuring writing from Orson Scott Card, Wil Wheaton, and Robin Lee Hatcher. At times tear-jerking, at times humorous, this book is guaranteed to inspire and remind readers that the human spirit knows no boundaries.
A few more milestones
Our first royalties, which counted sales until the end of December, totaled $3804.66. That money has been split between three charities: Operation USA, The Red Cross, and The Salvation Army. I’ve also sent Operation USA and The Salvation Army copies of the book, so they can see how we raised this money! And we’ve reached another great milestone this week: 1000 copies sold. We’re going to be the Little Book that Could. -- Jenna Glatzer
