Stories of Strength

Born in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, this anthology shares stories about what it takes to beat the odds. More than 100 writers contributed these essays, fiction and poetry to raise money for disaster relief efforts in the region. Featuring writing from Orson Scott Card, Wil Wheaton, and Robin Lee Hatcher. At times tear-jerking, at times humorous, this book is guaranteed to inspire and remind readers that the human spirit knows no boundaries.

You Deserve Kisses.

Who deserves kisses? Well, lots of people, really. There are so many people right now who believe in what we’re doing and are working hard to let the world know about Stories of Strength. I’d like to tell you about a few of them…

  • Bookmarks Magazine just offered us a free 1/6th-page ad in their next issue. Thanks, Bookmarks! That’s a book review magazine that summarizes hundreds of reviews from other publications, and includes author profiles, recommended reading lists, and more, in each issue.
  • Library director Toni Whitney, who is including ordering information about Stories of Strength in her newspaper ads because Absolute Write members once came to her aid and donated lots of books to her library!
  • The wonderful staff at Borders in Fairfield, CT, who will fill an entire endcap with Stories of Strength in time for the holidays and has invited our authors to come talk and sign books.
  • POD-dy Mouth, who has just informed us that she loves the book and will review it this Friday.
  • To these fine people and many others, we love you! Keep watching… our flight is just beginning.

People are slowly getting the words. My local media still have no idea what this is about but I think they will come around when they see what we are really doing here.
