3 days, $1000.
Well, we smashed right through my first goal– I was hoping to raise $1000 in the first three days, and we beat it! We’ve raised about $1040 thus far, and I know we’ve barely begun. It feels pretty amazing. Every time I hear of a celebrity donating a million bucks to disaster relief, I think, “Boy, I wish I could do that.” Okay, so a thousand bucks isn’t a million– but it’s something. Something more than I could have done on my own. And who knows how far we’ll go? Who knows how much we can accomplish? We can help medical clinics, rebuild schools, deliver clothes and toys… just because we’re all pitching in and using our love for writing to do something good.
